About Highland Village, Texas
Found on the outskirts of the Dallas Fort Worth Metropolitan area, in Denton County, and bordered by Lewisville, Texas, Highland Village is a quiet and safe DFW suburb. It houses approximately 16,806 residents (as of 2021) and spans for about 5.5 square miles. Highland Village was established in 1963 when more than a hundred lakeside residents migrated to the area and eventually decided to stay there permanently.
Most of the early Highland Village residents found this area simply because they wanted to escape from the bustle of bigger cities. From a small rural town into a growing suburb, Highland Village grew into a big suburban city with better facilities, more peaceful streets, and safer neighborhoods. It is a great place to live for people who want to enjoy the proximity with Dallas, Texas while still within the vicinity of a more relaxed community.
